I just recently acquired my first WW, and have some questions on the genetics. There doesn't seem to be too much info out there on whether they breed true or what other color morphs a pair would likely throw. There also doesn't seem to be much info on why C-Quest topped producing the strain in the first place. Any thoughts and information shared would be great.
Also most of he photos I've seen show the WW having an all orange face. Mine has two md/large triangular patches of white on its face in front of the eyes and the black collar hasn't come in yet. It's definitely a juvenile ocellaris, 11 dorsal spines and pigmented eyes. Eating like a lil pig, but not hosting the RBTA yet tho...maybe one day. I've always had terrible luck with CB ocellaris hosting.
Anyway, could the white patches on the face be just juvie markings or could it be some sort of snowflake cross? Other than those patches, it looks exactly like it should at this age, but it was suspiciously inexpensive ($69.00), so I wonder.... Thanks, -Wifey
