Xenia as nutrient export?

I am thinking about possible making my new 29g refugium into a refugium full of pink pulsing fiji xenia. I am talking about completely stuffing the tank. Will that make a good nutrient export for a 75g display tank? Not sure which forum to post this in because alot of you guys here know more than some about nutrient exports via a refugium. I think xenia looks a heck of alot better than chaeto, myself. Thanks Danny

I was using xenia elongata for nutrient export in my old 50 gallon tank and it worked quite well. I was removing about ten two inch stalk evevery two and a half weeks. I switched to algae though when I upgraded my system since I can use the algae to feed some of my fish now and again. You can't feed xenia to fish like you can with algae.

Thats true. Thanks for your advice. I had some great advice from this same thread in the coral forum also. I think I am going with the Xena. Looks so pretty.
