Why does this wierd stuff happen to me? My electric blue hermit was molting, so he picked out a spot and spent two days there. In that short period on time, a stalk of my xenia desided to stick itself to his shell, mobile xenia i guess. Hopefully he will knock it off when climbing arounf without any damage to the xenia, or I have a project tomorrow morning... Wish I had a camera to post a pic...

That's cool, I have seen pictures where people have glued zoanthids to snail shells.

I was at Jake's place yesterday and saw the Xenia on hermit's shell. It was a hoot! I wish I took a pic of it with my cell phone LOL!

I hope that either the Xenia will survive beautifully on the shell or jump off eventually??

I was thinking about it. Its rather amusing to look at the tank and see the xenia in a different place all the time. Depends, its it health starts looking questionable, its got to come off, I may leave it until then. I know its pretty hardy stuff, so we'll see.

Just leave it. Before you know it, you'll have more xenia than you know what to do with anyway!

On a sort of related note, I have always wanted to glue some sps frags to some clams. I love how large tridacna's in the ocean have coral growing on them. It would have to be something that wouldn't grow over the clam, maybe a small porites or bonsai or something.
That would be a conversation piece like your crab is I'm sure.
