Xenia eating...

So I have been closely watching my xenia and I think I have identified two possible suspects that have eaten all of the xenias in my tank except this waving one. One is a UFO crab that is nestled in the rock the xenia is on, and the other appears to be a very tiny serpent star like creature that came in as a hitchiker that is pitch white. Do either of these remotely resemble a predator who only seems to be eating xenias in my tank thus far? Thanks!

The serpent star sounds like an asterina star, which there was a thread about a day or two ago in this forum I believe. They're harmless detritus eaters. The crab is quite possibly the culprit.

I would blame the crab and remove it. Then again I remove all crabs from my tank that are not hermit crabs...just 'cause you never know;)

Hey Titus, you might want to catch and sell this xenia eating crab to the other reefers complaining about xenia taking over thier tanks!!!!!

If you can't catch him, but you know where he's hiding and can't remove the rock, just take a piece of epoxy and seal his hole up. Just make sure he doesn't have a "back door".
