I have Xenia growing on the shells of 2 of my Crocea. I keep cutting it away and......like Xenia always does.......it keeps growing back. Anybody know of a good way to get rid of it once and for all?

Thanks in advance.

Cover the xenia with a thick Kalwaser mix, worked for me. Just cut off the xenia and cover the left over skin with the mix. I use a hypo needle to apply it. It works good and doesnt hurt the clam b/c it's just on his shell.

If you really want to remove it, just peel it off and brush the rest of it off with a toothbrush under tap water.
I would just leave it, it won't hurt the clam, and look neat. Cut back once in a while.

I have a large Crocea calm that has an SPS frag encrusted on it. It was given to me that way by a fellow reefer. I trim it back to keep it away from the mantle.
Every one that sees it likes the look of it, some people think I should cut it completely off while others say to just leave it.
I think that it adds to the display, it's not something that everyone else has in their tanks.

What about a "shroom" on a snail's back? Will it kill stuff as it wanders around? (LPS/Zoa/Shroom dominated tank.. no softies and only one SPS frag.
