[XPOST] White spots developing on blastomussa coral.

Hi all. This hasn't gotten any love in the other forum so I figured I'd cross post it. Have been inactive here for a bit since I've been exceedingly busy the past few months. Everything's doing well still, but I have been noticing my red and purple blastomussa developing these small white spots on it. They appear to be showing through the coral, and not on the surface. Anyone ever seen these before? Are they normal, or something abnormal?

Params:

Nitrate: 3ppm
Phosphate: Undetectable
Nitrite: Undetectable
Ammonia: Undetectable
Calcium: 500ppm
Alkalinity: 8 dKH
Magnesium: 1300ppm

It's in medium light and medium/low flow.

Here's a photo:

Thanks again all. Looking forward to figuring out what exactly is going on here.

Sure, it is definitely possible. How would I know for sure, though? And what does this mean?

does it look like it is poking through the flesh? if so then it is probably skeleton.

first signs of coral stress imo. check params.

how long have you had it and what kind of lights is it under?

almost looks like it is in the process of bleaching out.

No, it is definitely not poking through the flesh. My params are all spot on (check my first post closer... they're all listed), and this tank is FULL of coral that are all doing terrific.

It's under 7 hours of a 4 bulb t5ho ATI bulbs, AquaticLife fixture. I've had it for about 3.5-4 months now I'd say. It's not bleaching, even though it looks washed out in the photo. That's the camera, as it is bright red, and stands out when you look at the tank.

Anything else it could be? None of the suggestions so far are making much sense.

i haven't seen it personally, but maybe someone with a bit more experience could let you know, i know mine is kept on the sand so its a possibility. give it a week to see if it changes, maybe try blowing it off with a baster.
