they say it is
"Tropical Play Sand - The smart choice... for safe play. From the Caribbean our Tropical Play Sand from YardRightâ"žÂ¢ Select is all-natural product from the Caribbean. It has a bright white color and a pure, soft feel. It's screened, sterilized and safe for kids."

YardRight Tropical Play Sand
SKU # 578-819
UPC # 0-210026-16865-5
UPC 0-9060420101-9
Model # 420-100

The SKU is the same for a lot of different brands of play sand, I have gotten Southdown with the same SKU.

There are a lot of different suppliers of Play sand to HD and depending on the location will determine the local suppler.

What you want is Tropical Play Sand or Aragonite. Do a vinegar test to make sure it is not silica sand.

What I have found to be the right stuff is from Southdown, Old castle, and YardRight from HD. Kolorscape or Durascape by Old castle from Walmart.

I'm looking for a few hundred lbs my self!

We should get a pallet.

mflamb, if you are going with a DSB in that 390 you'll need a few more than several. I have 500 now for my 150. but most of it is in the 120. Ill still need to get a few hundred more.

Well I did a whois search of yardright.com and found that they were sold to Oldcastle Retail, Inc.

I called the telephone number and got a person that could answer the question everyone doesn't want to hear.
They have not sold a silica free sand in 3 years as they lost their supplier for the caribbean sand.
They do sell a pure white play sand, that has been sterilized and is safe for kids, but it is not silica free.

I wonder if she would say that if she thought I was calling from California.

I called lowes and homedepot, cant get it. ggo figure we live in the limestone capital and cant get it.
I will research some more for a source.

a few hundred lbs of what? did you read the post?

Sure every word of it.

You are doing a great job, and we are sure you will come up with an answer other than no from some where.

Holy Crap...we're talking about sand. If you find some of what we're talking about, I would like to be informed here on Reef Central Online Community>More Forums>Reef Club Forums>Tampa Bay Reef Club. What did I miss. If anyone is listening:
