YardRight play sand

I've been searching for some form of test for arsenic. Nothing yet.
How white does it look in the salt water?

Now that's funny!!!
Wow...I just realized that I can get 700 lbs for less than $45 plus tax and delivery.

only tested phosphates this time and they are 0.0.
If there were phosphates in the sand how long before they show up in the water? I would think they would have by now.

Any answer to the above question?

I mixed all the sand up real good last night and let it settle overnight and tested this morning no changes in the water quality. I will look into getting a arsenic test kit but I don't think I have to worry about that. I think the only reason there might be arsenic up there is because of the paper mills. All the rivers up there are polluted. Even the well water smells of rotten eggs. (I have a hunting camp in Perry.)

They must have something to hide being a buisness with a private block on the number. I did a reverse phone check to see where they were located.

I don't think you should worry about arsenic, and the 0.0 po4 is fabulous!!! I would be interested in the price of that white aragonite from Sanford.
Did you contact them??? I'm going to.

A chemist/geologist type dude in the chemistry forum recommends disolving some in HCl and then testing for Arsenic and Phosphates. Where would I get HCl???

Mflamb,

Muratic acid is 10% HCl solution you can get it anywhere HD Lowes P&P you might even have a jug out buy the pool.

I put 2" of sand in a 10g with tank water and a 5lb liverock and I let it run overnight with a small powerhead. the water is running clear now. It took about 7 hrs to settle. I am going to throw in a blue damsels that I picked up today for 2.99. I named him labrat.
