After years of searching I finally got my hands on one of these little guys and added him to my tank last night have a 45 min slow drip/ 25 min float. 24 hours I have not seen hide nor hair of him (I've searched everywhere), eventhough I've feed the tank 3 times. Is this normal behavior/occurence or should I be worried?

They burrow and are probably hanging out by cleaner / decorative shrimp if you have any . ( mine always hung out by my pep shrimp kinda burrowed in the sand , I eventually had gotten a pistol shrimp that he/she paired up with ) Unfortunately he decided togo carpet surfing and when I found em he looked like a old french fry
