I know it's corny, but I'm SO excited that my Ocellaris and RBTA are hosting! :D It took them about a month to decide to move in.

Oh yeah, I'm super-vigilant. There's been a lot of powerhead drama / night watch with it. The RBTA moved from one side of the tank to there, then scooted around that corner (I stared at the tank for HOURS, keeping an eye on it), and finally settled back in that spot. She stretches so far from down behind the rockwall to get to that spot, I don't think (hope) she can't reach the powerhead.

I moved it up higher after taking that picture, just in case, though. ;)

Also, just in case anyone is interested, here's a couple vids I took of her moving. I was fascinated by the mechanics of her movement!

Here's my GSM, Sue-Ray is still a juvenile and has been in my tank for 3 months. Started the tank a little over 6 months ago. The BTA is a Light Pinkish/Green-(w/ actinics)

Sue-Ray is a dark GSM with beautiful black fills in his fins and a brilliant bright orange trim around them as well.

I bated him to the anemone a few days into it, it was love-struck with one sting and acclimated within minutes. It was an amazing thing to watch...They are now inseparable.

i would move the clam...but otherwise its such a cool feeling when my clowns started to host i was estatic....now they dont wander more then about a foot away....

reason i say move the clam though is during the day they usually expand out quite a bit, mine goes from about 6-7" circle to about size of a dinner plate during the day...

I thought that my clowns were gonna take a long time too, but it only took them a half day. I put the anemone at 11 pm. and they were hosting early morning.

I don't know how big those PH are, but I found a craft ball at Michaels that fit my 3" diameter tunzee's amazingly well. Can see what they look like here http://craftersmarket.net/plcagl.html or on the tunzee here http://picasaweb.google.com/bgenie/Images0808/photo#5237938357250731090

Nem looks great! I'm glad your clowns started hosting. I love you watch my LTA and clowns!

Melissa

Thanks for the tip, Melissa! What a great idea. :) I will have to look into that.

Thanks for the advice. I have been keeping an eye on the clam/nem situation for over a week now... They seem to be doing well as neighbors. I will not move the clam unless absolutely necessary, as I do not want to cause undue stress. The nem is quite large, but in the above pictures w/the clowns, that is as big as she gets during the day because she wedged herself behind the rock wall and gets almost "folded" between the rocks and back wall of the tank. The clam doesn't seem to be suffering at the moment, but if the need does arise I will move it. ;)

Good looking out, jubjubrsx.

How did you bait your clown to go into the nem?

I want to try the same thing. I have one tank raised ocellaris and one tank bred perc. I don't think they know what to do with a RBTA.

I'm hoping that if they get near it, instinct will take over.
