YC Goby

Anything you feed really, but cyclopeeze seems to be my ones favourite. They are charming little fish, easy to keep and get as tame as any clown, easily willing to hand feed.

If they are in a larger tank with alot of other fish, they may have a hard time getting enough to eat. Or they may not eat right away as mine did. Make sure you target feed them so they get enough food. Other than that, they're relatively easy.

I did not see mine eat for at least a month. I tried everything but it just lived off of pods. This does not last long in a ten gallon tank. It slowly began to starve because the only pods left were too big for it to eat. I saw it get really skinny, lose its color and come close to the brink of death. I tried to feed it one last time and it ate. It nearly starved to death before it would take prepared foods. It was a great fish after that. It recently died for unknown reasons. I had it for a years and a half. I heard they only live for 1 to 2 years.

In short, great fish will eat anything after you finally get them to eat. Great personality.

Agreed, wonderful fish but make sure they're taking prepared foods before you buy. I didn't know they were finicky when I bought mine, it took months of spot feeding, rotating foods and feeding multiple times per day, to get him to take more than one bite of anything. Now he's FAT and bold, pushes fish 3x his size around :)

Mine eats pellets, brine, mysis and cyclop-eeze. I make sure there are smaller pieces along with the whole shrimp by crushing a bit of the cube as it thaws, but he doesn't always care; he goes after things I think won't possibly fit into his tiny mouth and has no problem, it's pretty amazing.
