Mine has recently become a little BLANK and I'm trying to catch it.....any tips? I'm
Not going to destroy and rear apart the tank to get him but everything I'm trying isn't working.....
They usually sleep in live rock. Just stake it out at night and pull the rock out. You obviously going to need a bucket with water from your tank to dip it into and get the hogfish out of the rock hole
I had the same issue with mine and just trapped it last week. He killed an Allen's damsel and a cleaner shrimp and was terrorizing basically everyone else. I used a fish trap and within about 5 min he was the first fish in. They are bold fish and with an acrylic trap I don't see it taking too long before he is caught.
I just caught my 6 line with a soda bottle trap. Took him 10 minutes to get in there, but only because he took a few minutes to find the hole. Cost nothing to make and got him in 10 minutes.
I did leave it in the tank for about 3 days before putting food in it just so everyone got used to it being there.
