I have 6 yellow chromis in my 180g tank. I've had them for several years, since they were quite small. As they matured and got to adult size some of them have an all yellow dorsal fin and some have a yellow fin with some black patches, they almost look like wide vertical stripes.
Does anybody know why they are different? Is it a male/female distinction? Is it just a random variation in the species?
