Yellow Coris Wrasse coloring

I was wondering if anyone has a super colored Halichoeres chrysus? I've always seen them more or less yellow. The best ones I've seen are electric flourescent yellow. Until now. Last time I bought a YCW, I got the brightest guy at the LFS. Ive had him several months now and I just can't believe his coloring. His yellow is nearly orange. His face has stripes of orange and pale green. I've seen some with pale face striping before, but not bold like this. His tail has pale stripes of a orange- pink color, almost a magenta. His bottom fin has a transparent layer of that same color. This little guy is breathtaking. Is this just because he's a male? Is this pretty normal?

Read up on Terminal male Wrasses and some people are saying that it will lose its brilliance without a female. Any idea if this is always the case?

I have found H. chrysus, and most Halichoeres wrasses in general, to keep their color intensity regardless of females or congenerics are present.

After a description like this, it's an internet crime not to post a picture.
