Yellow multi banded pipe

I saw two of the three in one group eat mysis, roe, and spirulina brine this morning. I didn't see the fourth pipe, but the lights don't come on until later. How are yours doing?

MUST BE NICE!!! lol I have one that is feasting on frozen pods and the other one just follows that one around...just had the local store order me live mysid in so I can maybe transition them over

I think I'm going to hatch out some BBS today if I can find my eggs.

What was the trick to get them to take it?
Also what's your tank setup for them?

The three smaller ones hang out in the corner a little out of the flow. I mixed up a batch of mini mysis, arctipods, spirulina brine, and krabby joe's roe plus algae. I thaw it all in tank water and use a long turkey baster to slow release it right next to them. No sudden movements with the baster and they don't seem to mind it. They are currently in my 75 gallon LPS and softie reef. They are in with a group of 4 eightline flasher wrasses, a rhomboid female, and a barred blenny that was also added same day. Tank temp is 77. I do 15-20 gallon changes every week to 10 days. I feed HEAVILY due to the high metabolic needs of the wrasses. Diversity of foods is key for their survival and the pipes will benefit from this. I was running the tank at 81. Had a tough time getting down to 77, but it is holding steady there now. I like the pipes and wrasse combo because they don't mess with one another and aesthetically, they are a great contrast to one another in shape and swimming style.

Bad News Bears, lost the straggler. If any of them didn't look right, it was that one. Not sure why it didn't stay with the others. Other three are exploring together and eating or at least sampling today's concoction. How are yours Bratyboy2?

Mine are doing good so far. Still eating the frozen pods. Going to do a small water change and add a few crabs for clean up tonight.

Well bought a very small banded serpent star and two snails for clean up got more pods.

Drizzle where did you get your mini mysid?

I've tried with failed attempt. I have a blue stripe pipe in there with him and he isn't even eating and they are the easiest

Mine are right at 4" or a little smaller. They hit the back of the tank and when they came out tonight, they seem fatter and bolder. I think they were eating pods. When I fed tonight, they all perked up when the food hit the water and one went for something in the mix. Hard to tell what it was. I think the key is to feed a lot and get them to realize that what you are offering is food. When they learn this, then they can be fed less at one time so that water quality doesn't suffer. Multiple feedings per day still needs to be done.

Ya I think I have fed them .... oh...12 times today?
Think I'm doing enough?

I'm hoping to try mysid again before bed

Did a 10% water change this morning and added a power head on low speed to maybe stimulate them into thinking the frozen food was alive....nothing. out for the day now we shall see later if they might eat. Oh and one is skinny to me and Idk if he/she is going to make it much longer :(

Try putting the food in a really low flow area. They seem to wanna pick food off the substrate. What size tank are they in?
