Yellow peel angelfish not reef safe

I have had mine for over 6 months. Recently it has developed a taste for Lps. He has completely wiped out my torch and acan corals. This past week he decided to eat 3 bta. He has also started to nip at my carpet anemone. I was able to trap him yesterday. He is now residing in the sump. For anyone thinking of keeping one. Don't! My flame and coral beauty are still model citizens.

Yeah, the LemonPeel is generally considered to be the most destructive dwarf angel. I have one currently in my display and it's been fine, but imhavechadvsome in the past that were really problematic. May be only a matter of time for the current one too. It is a beautiful fish though.

a very smart and beautiful fish indeed. it would look and stare at me, then take a bite at the coral or anemone right in front of me. after losing hundreds of $$ of sessile invertebrates, it was time for him to go.

Thanks for the headsup, one of the most appealing dwarf angels. I had a rock beauty do the same thing so I had to remove.

The carpet nems dont sting him? He can just eat them?

I tried my luck with a false lemonpeel (heraldi). Oh man, did he love corals - zoas, brains, acans, you name it. After 2-3 days I had to drain the tank to get him out...

Such a beautiful fish though....

Nope. I couldn't believe it myself. my assumption is maybe the mouth is made of cartilage. Luckily I didn't have to drain my tank bc I have the aqua medic fishtrap. That fish trap really works. I caught 2 of the fish with it within 24 hours.
