Yellow sebae

So my lfs has this, do you think it will stay looking like this? Whats the likelyhood this is its natural color?

I would stay away from it. I am 99% certain that it is dyed, and will not stay that color. Assuming that it wouldn't die first, it would become whitish -- as the dye leached out. Then if it was still alive it would slowly regain its internal algae and most likely be tan/brown.

Yea that was my thinking, just wanted some extra opinions,it looked pretty healthy, just wasn't sure if this was a natural coloration

This may seem like a dumb question, but how exactly do you "dye" an anemone?

Im not sure but isnt it the same thing as dyeing a flower ?

Put a white flower in water with some dye and the white flower will slowly turn the color of the dye.

Put the anemone in the water , it will drain itself from its own water and fill with the dyed sea water from where its in ?

If this isnt correct im sorry, just my thought. ;)

Thats the way I always thought it would have to be done to colour an anemone.

Maybe Todd can shed a bit of light on how its done.
