Anyone here keeping one? I'm considering buying one and would like to know other peoples experiences.
Thanks,
Carson

They 're a pretty cheap ray collecting locally in the gulf. Get pretty large (About 2 feet from tip to tail ) and require a tank with a foot print of maybe about 5x6 feet.
Cortez are the best home aquaria ray, but pretty hard to come by considering only a small number can be pulled out each year. (Due to being a near threatened species)

Yes, they are very hardy, they're growth rate is highly dependent on the water parameters, temperature, and tank size given. They are a pretty fast growing animal if housed correctly, you can slow their grow by keeping them at lower temperatures (low 70's.)
