Good morning :D

I am not sure if I should get a yellow tail or a red tail tamarin wrasse for my 180g tank. What do you think?

Which ever is more healthy and eating - I have 4 tamarins - yellow red and 2 blue spot- red tail turn I to insane adults so I would keep that in mind

I dont know as I never kept leopards aswell.

We also have 2 earmuffs and a meleagris leopard- no issues at all- I would say the Tamrins are little more sketchy then leopards but very similar care-

Basically these fish don't ship well - so if u can get one that a lfs has had for a while that would be idle

my yellow tail was alot more finicky to get start eating than any Leopard I have...it was a LFS rescue were it wasn't eating and very thin, so I got a good deal( thanks again Andy!)...I placed it in a tank full of LR to pick from and after a couple of days it started accepting liver Tiger pods and NutraMar Ova. It slowly started taking larger foods such as PE Mysis and now is in the DT doing well...

Is their care the same as leopard wrasses?
Similar, but rather more tricky. Tamarins are susceptible to mouth damage in transit, and such almost always leads to a certain death. They can also be finicky eaters and need to eat small amount of food many times a day, especially when newly introduced. Tamarins are also slow eaters; they typically chew/spit their food several times before actually consuming it.
