Yellow tang and my zoas

So I got a frag pack a few days ago and I noticed that one looked dead not in to good of shape. I set it up in a spot and notice it was being moved. I also notice that some pods were gone. I set it up today where I could see it and saw the yellow tang picking at them. Is this normal? It was only the yellow tang doing it, I also have a brown tang. I was thinking he was picking because they might have been dead. The other frags looked fine.

I think you are correct, many fish will do that. Consume dead or dying remnants of coral flesh. Yellow tangs are grazers, also called ( Rasping ), as they look for patches of algae to eat. I would still watch this colony to be sure, you just never know.
