yellow tang died tonight

not sure what happened but i'm not feeling too happy right now. My yellow tang has been pretty healthy and doing good he had such a great personality. But in the last few days he had become very recluse and not eating much if at all. i could'nt see anything abnormal about him as far as his looks. tonight he kinda just sank ot the bottom and sat there. the next thing i know the brittle star has him and was beganing to digest him. obviosly he was dying but I have no idea what was wrong with him or what happened. I got him away from the star but he was totally battered and was not going to make it. Does anyone have any idea what might have been wrong with him?

I had a similar thing happen to me with some clowns. I later found out from a friend that some fish collected by the use of sionide will just die out of the blue like yours and mine did. I ma now much more picky about who I get fish from. Hope that helps.

I know this one was not caught that way he was from a good store. It just really makes me mad I had him for two months and he was doing great. He was so interactive with us. It has just made me sad and upset to lose him.
