Yellow tang looking really pale

When I woke up this morning my yellow tang had two white strips on his sides and I was a little worried. They faded but now tonight his face seems really pale. Is this normal or do I need to be concerned?

The white stripes are normal, especially when the lights first come on. And they do get pale sometimes... again, usually in the morning. But it can also be a sign that's something wrong i.e. fish disease if they do it too often.

Yes, they typically go pale at night. I had one in QT being treated that went pale. He wasn't really eating any nori during that time. When he went back into the DT and started eating nori, his color came back. So, make sure he's getting his greens.

I was just concerned cause this morning it was only the two white stripes and now it's his whole face is pale he picks around for food all day I was just a little worried cause I had never seen that before

I soak their food in Boyd's vita-chem and increase the nori feeding when my tangs lose color. I've found it makes a big difference.
