yellow tang losing color and fins look damaged

Hi i have a yellow tang that doesn't look right,it is losing it's color and the fins look ragged. i WILL TRY TO GET A PIC.

ANY IDEAS PLEASE HELP

It looks like he's being bullied and thus is starving and getting his fins nipped at.
How large is your tank?
What are the other inhabitants, fish and corals?
What are your water parameters?
What are you feeding the tank and what are you feeding him specifically?

The pic is not real clear but my first thought was also MHLLE...Does it have any erosion or pits on its face or body along the Lateral line? If not, It could also be a Bacterial infection

hi, the tank is 120 gallon, water parameters on right on.the two tangs i have get fed seeweed salad/brine and mysis shrimp and varies flake food.the other tang is fine no conflict with other fish.

Do you have two yellow tangs and only one is losing it's color and finnage, or do you have a yellow tank and some other tang? I've got two yellows in my 120 and am having a bullying problem although it hasn't escalated to badly damaged fins and lack of food yet.
Do you leave seaweed clipped to the side of the tank in the morning so that they can graze at their leisure, or is the only time they're getting food the set feeding times, I only ask because I'm not sure what you meant by "seaweed salad/brine".

You need to soak the food in vitamins, I alternate Vita-Chem and Selcon.. The fish also need better food, Brine Shrimp is worthless and Flake not far behind. There are many good frozen foods -Formula's one and Two, Marine Cuisine, Emerald Entree, Prime Reef to name a few...If you get Brine shrimp, make sure its Brine Shrimp Plus [Enriched Brine Shrimp- Main ingredient is Krill or something]
Also keep your water pristine
