So i baught a yellow tang on saturday and it didnt have the black spots. today i noticed that it had tones of them. I heard there where some kind of fish that would take those off. The dip method seems pretty complicated. Iam very worried about my new fish

If he has black ich..it is actually a fluke..he needs to be treated with prazipro. You can give him a freshwater dip to give him a some short term relief but it will not kill it all and need to be treated with some sort of praziquantel product.I use prazipro so thats why i mentioned it first.

How would it be a fluke? can i use this prazipro in my main tank with my other fish?

Well it isnt actually a fluke its a worm.I was off bye a bit.I have never used it for black ich but i read where people have used it for this and it worked.Prazipro kills all worms and if you have bristleworms or tube worms in your main tank it will kill those as well. The link that steven pro gave said to use formalin so you may wanna go that route as he is alot more knowlegable than i am.Maybe someone can chime in that has used praziquantel for this but if you can remove him from your main tank and treat him in a qt you will be better off.If you decide to use prazipro in your main tank you have to turn off your skimmer and remove carbon.
