yellow tang

Hello all, I recently added a yellow tang to my setup. He has been very active but he wont touch the algae sheets I have clipped in the tank. He goes crazy during feeding time and eats the mysis and herbivore pellets. Im wondering if this is enough to keep him healthy or does he need to eat pure algae to get his nutrients. My tank currently has very very little algae growth other that the tough coralline algae on the live rock. Small amounts in the sand and sides of the tank of course but nothing really for him to graze on

When I feed my angels, half of them never touch the sheets. So what i do is when making my fish slushie (Miysis, Selcon, Brine, Etc mixed till thawed) I will add some Purple Seaweed for Two Little fishy I fold it and cut up some seaweed into bit size pieces and mix it in. The fish eat this as they eat the frozen food, like a champ.

I watched the video for it, did your fish just eat it once you put it in? Or did you have to train them to see that it is food?

They ate it right away. Just place the hoop onto the sucker and stick it onto the tank near where you usually offer food and they'll go after it.
