Yellowhead Jawfish and Inverts

Does anyone have any first hand experience with yellowhead jawfish and smaller inverts?

Some sites describe it is a planktivore.

Right now the smallest I have is boxer crabs which would make for a pricey meal ...

I had a yellow head jawfish for years. Never had a problem with inverts. They are planktivores and will eat pieces of shrimp. small mysis, cyclopeze and eventually small pellets. You will need a deep sand bed, some ruble, stable rock work and a tight lid on your tank as they are phenomenal jumpers

They may try to use small hermits to build their burrows, but the crab just walks off without harm, it is kind of funny to watch.
Inverts that can be a problem towards jawfish are serpent and brittle stars that try to use the burrow and that drives the fish out.

This has been my experience. It's hilarious to watch them gather the hermits and keep putting them back in their burrow. I never had trouble with my serpent or brittle stars with my jawfish.

I had a pair of yellow headed jawfish in a 10g tall with dwarf seahorses, and lots of pederson shrimp, a porcelain crab and snails. they weren't the least bit bothered or interested in my inverts. I absolutely love these fish.

I don't have any hermits, freaking hate the little devil monsters but would love to watch a jawfish continuously use them as a door step decoration.
