Yellowtail Blue Devil Breeding Questions

I have a confirmed pair of Yelowtail Blue Devils and was wondering if the babies have a larval stage like Clownfish. The eggs never seem to grow into fish. Probably the babies get sucked into the filter. I do not know. The female seems to be the only one protecting the eggs. She wont let the male near.
Your response is greatly appreciated. Thanx!

They hatch at night after the lights go out. Babies are extreemly small and nearly impossable to raise because the rotifers required to feed them are hard to come across. They are a lot smaller than clown fish fry is why the regular rotifers will not work. I have a pair that have been breeding for almost 2 years and I can collect probably 200 fry on hatch night. They key is to figure out the laying date and its usually 6 to 8 days for the clutch to hatch with mine. On hatch night turn off your power heads and take a flashlight and look into your tank they are attracted to the light. you should see plenty of them. I wish i could get the rotifer size i need i would love to try and raise some of them.

"S" rotifers are not hard to come by anymore, and haven't for a couple years now. I'd say where to get them, but that would be breaking the UA and could get me banned (I work there)
