looks like you're getting some good flow through this tank!

Flow is perfect! Just nice and steady and every inch is covered. :)

Thanks! I just got back tonight with 8 more bags of goodies so I'll take some pics of the canopy and lighting tomorrow when it's daylight and then I'll take some more coral shots when the sun goes down. :)

One of the new additions is a little Bangaii Cardinal! Looks just adorable in there! :D

Okay, here's a FTS, please mind the power cords...

And here's the ballasts and lights, yes I know they are cheap and that's the point, they didn't cost me a thing and it works great!

Tank really is coming along nicely. I can't wait to set soemthing like that up myself. I would like to see it run as a filter for a larger tank.
Great work

That is one heck of a tank. Congrats on your DIY, that's a little award wining tank in my opinion.

i am surprised those three metal brackets can support the weight of the tank... do you think it can support it permanently? thinking of doing one for my living room without the cabinet...

that is SWEET! Thats the coolest mounting idea. A sweet base would make that thing look amazing!

Thanks! Yeah I hope to get something done eventually. So busy right now, my tank kind of takes a back burner...

Piece of cake, each bracket can hold 500lbs each so that a 180lbs on brackets capable of holding 1500lbs. They are powder coated steel. When I bolted them on I hung completely from just one without getting it to budge. ;)

looks great, wow your tank is fully stock already, man you move fast.

Yeah, I got 8 more goodies Friday night and another 5 bags on Saturday... I still want some more rics and have another couple acan lord frags on their way to me after the holidays. I don't know where I'm going to put everything (as it is I have a green leather and monti cap in the refugium), but it feels good to have that issue. LOL! I'll post some more pics soon... Maybe I'll trade in the Goni, I love her, but she get's so big when expanded! :(

Got a new green polyp leather, the other one was forest green and I was looking for neon so here's frag of it... Polyp extention isn;t there in this shot but you can see the green...

Thanks dude! :) I think every one of my corals would be lost in that giganormous tank you have though. :D

wow, major faith in those braces huh?

Why not? Each one can hold 500lbs and there are 3 of them. Tank is under 180lbs... Plus they are bolted (3 bolts per brace) into a 2x6 stud. I can hang from one of the braces without it budging, no way 180lbs can do anything to 3. :D

WOW!!!

WOW!!!

WoW  your tank looks absolutely amazing man, I feel inspired. The corals you have in your tank, are they mainly soft corals?

Amazing work!
cheers
