I would not personally get it. While elegant, it comes at the price of complicating the system and a bit more maintenance to keep it looking good (needing to clean both inside and outside of the tank from algae growth).

Plus they are a touch noisy... and must be more perfectly level than you can get away with with "regular" tanks.

it takes alot of extra work, but if your up for it they are amazing looking tanks, but if you neglect it even for a few days it looks like crap. thats just my experience i believe they make great show aquariums in a living room or something.

There's an LFS here that had one. He hated it & eventually got rid of it due to the constant top off and cleaning.
