yet another sump design question

Expert advice needed please! I'm terrible with computers so I can't show a sketch but I have all the measurements(I think). i have a 90 gal with a sump that is 35 1/2" long, 15" wide and 16" tall. from what I've seen I should put my skimmer on the left return pump in the middle and fuge on right. Skimmer base is 12.5 x 10, 24" high and 8" diameter. Pump is an eheim 1260, 6.25x8.5x4.5. The closest I can put the first baffle by the skimmer leaves 24.5 inches i think baffles are 1" apart so that would leave 22.5 inches after all 3 baffles. I need to know what size the 3 baffles should be after the skimmer and how tall the baffle that separates the fuge and return should be.Also what size the return area and fuge area should be. THANKS!!!!

forgot to add when I plumb the return it should go straight up with a section split off to the fuge correct?

this is correct....
as for baffle height you need to do the math or turn your power off and see how much drains back into the sump before determining the heighth for the baffels....
to do the math you need

display
"LxWxH" divide by 231 this equals" x" amount of gallons now divide "x" by your heigth this will tell you how many gallons of water per inch of tank..... now find your lowest point in either the return line or overflow and do the math.... for instance if it was 5gal of water per inch in the display and you overflow is 2" down that means in a event of a power failure it will drain 10gal.......

sump...
same thing "LxWxH" divide by 231 = "x"
take "x" divide by your height that gives you gallons per inch again...
so if its 2 gallons per inch you need at least 5" above the highest baffle for a power failure i would go 6 or 7 just to be safe because the you need to allow for all the plumbing and skimmer that will drain to....
hope it makes since if not post the demensions of the tank and sump i can tell you pretty fast.....;)

I would like the help thanks. sump is 35 1/2 long 15" tall and 16" wide display is 48" long 24" tal and 18" wide

9" bubble trap baffles, 12" "fuge" baffle without teeth. Skimmer, bubble trap, return section ~ 11" then "fuge" baffle. Gives around a 9 gallon fuge section which is about right for your size DT. This'll give you around 11 gallons drain down capacity.

Thanks alot uncle. 1 more ? the bubble trap baffles should be 1" apart correct? And you have 11" for the return pump right

1" should be plenty, for that pump. return section is around 11"... after bubble trap split the remaining area in half.
