Yikes! Cracked titanium heater!

I came home last night after being away for several days and heard an odd clicking sound coming from behind my tank. I finally discovered it was the heater controller. I figured something was wrong with it so I unplugged it and pulled it out. A big glob of brown gunk was stuck on the side and there are several hairline cracks! Whaaa! It's not a Won heater, I'm going to check on the manufacturer and see if I can get a refund. Fortunately, everything looks OK though my temp is 76 instead of the usual 80 degrees. I have an extra heater that I put in and I have water prepared for a wc so I think I'm good.

Dern - this could have been a disaster! I specifically bought titanium so this wouldn't happen.

Why do things always go kablooey when you're away?

Yah, I thought titanium heaters don't crack? That sucks I just bought one this weekend.

It's an AZOO = Yoiks! I didn't think they could crack either. There was NOTHING in the compartment with it, it was completely submerged, etc. I just ran my fingernail over the metal and it is a definite jagged crack. I've had WON heaters before and they were great. I'm going to have to find my receipt and see what can be done. I'm just thankful I didn't lose anything.
