Dont even worry about it. Infractions are quite common and painless , unless you make it a habit. The unwritten rule is to drop it and never mention it again. The all seeing\knowing mods are never wrong. They are also quick to forgive unless provoked.

Umm you did not follow the rules. It is not about feeling unwelcome just not following the rules.

Nowadays, no one reads the fine print. I only found out that rule when I saw someone get reemed for it. Don't feel bad about it.

No worries. I've been swatted a few times. If it was an honest mistake, don't let it get to you. The mods have a tough job and every 6 months someone gets into it with them and gets kicked off. Respect the rules, love the site, it'll love you back.

Same thing here. I see why it is done but for people like me that lurk more than post really sucks.

The ruler only leaves a small red mark for a few hours. Then it goes away. Everyone forgets it as well. Don't worry about it. Just enjoy the weather this weekend!!

Agreed!!! I jumped in on a thread that turned into quite a heated argument, and of course I couldn't keep my mouth (keyboard) shut. A short and to the point reaming was my punishment, but its not a huge deal. Just move on and try to follow the rules. This site has been the most beneficial thing I've ever found for help in the reef keeping hobby. I read a bunch of books before i found this site, but the knowledge here is much more adaptable to ones specific system wants and needs.
I hope you stick around and enjoy the many benefits of this site.

I for sure will stay and continue to use the site and I relize it was my fault but I just wasn't aware of the rule. So for those of you who don't read fine print well (which even after I reviewed the FAQ's still couldn't find that rule) or find the forums more informative and spend more time reading them then the TOS the rule is.
You can't post anything for trade or sale until you've had 50 meaningful posts (interperative)
and you have been a registered user for over 90 days.
By no means do I think I was being treated unfairly or that the rule is unjust, however I'm not sure if it was worthy of an infraction. It did change my mind on becoming a donating member. Just because I didn't relize how easy it was to get kicked off this site.
