I got some sand from Home Depot today, Its called Kolorsafe Playsand from old castle, after further review I noticed a little warning saying it may contain silica. I put some in my tank should I get it out?

Does anyone no where I can get the good play sand at In NJ? Im located in west orange. Thanks

You won't leach silica from this sand. Should not be an issue. The coarseness is somewhat of an issue as detritus can get trapped more easily.

OK Im guessing I should just buy the sand for aquariums, what you recommend? What about caribsea sand? should I take this sand out then?

If you want a live DSB, I'd get the finest-grained aragonite sand or some sandblasting sand, around 150#. Dead sand is fine. Then, you'll need to do some stocking.

Ok, So wahts the best approach here? Should I take out one side at a time? or take out all my live stock amd replace all the sand. I heard something about limestone.

I'd probably take the tank down and replace all the sand. That process is relatively safe, but there are no guarantees when live rock gets taken out of the water.

I'm not sure what limestone product you mean.
