Yikes!!!

Last night after lights out , I was feeding my sun coral using a flashlight when this worm swam into the light. It was almost the length of my 90 gallon tank and the circumference of a pencil lead .

I grabbed a turkey baster and sucked it up and put it in a bowl so I could get a better look at it . It shrank way up in length when I put it in the bowl. I could hardly tell if it had a mouth...but it still had to be destroyed.

Makes me wonder where it has been hiding and what other scary critters are looking back at me when I am staring at my tank...this one scared the beejeebers out of me.....

I tried to post pictures of it but for some reason, the pictures will not show..

Unknown creatures in our tanks …no wonder my one rock of zoas is having a hard time… who knows what has been living in it

at least you caught yours

Thanks for sharing this one. have found numerous things in my tank and think it is really cool when some "sea creature" I can not identify appears. Let us know if you are able to determine exactly what it was.

I think many sci-fi writes must be "reef keepers" on the side!!

I searched the link Malisa sent me but did not see a worm like it
I am just amazed that it stayed hidden all this time. You can not imagine how much time I spend just staring at my tank. Something like that worm would have been noticed had it been moving....
