not necessarily minimalist, but there is definitely some use of negative space (the tank is 5'x3' for reference -- width is tough to capture in photos).

The first pic is when first set up. I've since rescaped the left side, so I'll post a few pics as corals grew in.

Awesome work Mcliffy2! I like that type of rockwork, as it allows the corals to grow away from the rock formations.

Keep them coming!
 
I built using three large "show" pieces as bases and built up with smaller pieces to make a free standing structure; the way most things are constructed, things start with a strong foundation with lighter members skyward. Good thing because my clown became a wee bit of an excavator.

Great stuff guys. I am wondering where are those people with 200 gallon tanks or more. I own a 320 gallon myself, so the scale would help a bit.
