Your Most Wanted

Mine would be Koi Tang, Gem Tang, and Japanese Longfin Anthias. Why I haven't I got them to expensive for me. But it is nice to dream. :)

tim,

here is a pic of the earlei fairy: http://www.danj.com/reef/images/wrasse/earles_small.jpg

snorvich on RC has a pair from Brian green who use to collect in the marshalls on a rebreather. he caught a few pairs at 350 feet!

You have to see the sunset hog in person. They are extremely bright colored, a real beauty.

i would love to be able to keep the hawaiian long fin anthias alive, but man are they tough to keep. so freakin' sensitive to everything!

choats are hit and miss. I had a few from AU and they always eat right away, its the shipping that is 50/50. After shipping they are a little pricey considering shipping is 5$ a kilo!!!!

Genicanthus Personatus Pair

Yeah me too. Good luck with THAT!

Yes, the sea dragons are awesome but probably not in the realm of possibility. As far as I know they only eat live mysis. The one in my avatar was at 45 feet just off of Kangaroo Island in water that was really, really cold. It is, by the way, pregnant.

Yes Brian Greene got me the pair of Earles on a closed circuit rebreather. And they were decompressed properly which is no mean feat coming from 350 feet.

yeah, but since we're in dreamland....:D

Actually in sthe seahorse/pipefish forum, there is a guy in Singapore (I think) who has a pair and his male is preggo.

When I was in Kangaroo Island (quite a while ago), the going rate for a leafy was $10,000 wholesale. Obviously my guide carefully guarded the location where we went diving. Now, who knows that they cost. Magnificent animals!!!!

To photograph them, we had to have a safety diver above the sea dragon to keep them from going up and getting bent. A big production.

The pair at Georgia aqaurium are expecting.!:D

WOW. He has both leafy and weedy sea dragons and is trying to breed them. That is amazing. What a great thread!

Since we are in fantasy land. The Japanese anthias are all really cool.

Peppermint Angel I will go to my grave arguing this is the prettiest angelfish out there.

Not quite a fantasy land, but still absolutely awesome

Yes, but how to you sustain those anthias? Gorgeous. I wish I could have and sustain a peppermint angel. I would set up a separate tank if I could. I am unaware of anyone keeping them long term.

I thought we were in fantasy land:). If you can keep a leafy sea dragon you can keep anything I mentioned, with maybe the exception of the peppermint angel. But I believe (again fantasy land) that you could keep on in a large enough tank with a lot of live rock.
