That picture was taken 2 years ago in Ottawa on Remembrance Day. There is a huge ceremony held every year in which our PM, the Governor General and many other high profile members of parliament, etc attend. After the ceremony "the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" is swarmed by the thousands, each placing their poppy on the grave. This shot in particular was a soldier that was placing his poppy on the grave. The whole ceremony is rather awe inspiring. At 11am one of the cannons on Parliament Hill fire three shots, during which is nothing but erie silence. And boy is that cannon LOUD. Ceremonies like this are definitely a must see for anyone and Im pretty sure most countries have their own monuments in which similar celebrations are held each year.
