Yuma Hiding? Need Help!

I have what I think is a Yuma it was sold to me as a hairy but after looking at it I am convinced its a yuma. anyway when I put it in my tank it was only attached to a few shells and they came loose. So he drifted one side of my tank and I would continue to put it on a rock. Then it started going into the crack in the rock and actually climbing under it. This has happened for three days and evertime I move it out it works its way back there. My question is should I leave it alone and hope it attaches(doubt it though it crawls under with its feet all down). Any advise would be helpful. I am thinking this is about 6-8" when fully expanded.

Thats a problem no rubble under him and he just crawls out of the rubberband when I do that. So your saying that I should definately get him back out from under the rocks though He is literally under a rock in the firefishes hole. Firefish is looking like what are you doing under here. LOL

If I ever get him to attach some where and expand I will get a pic. Like I said I really am not sure what it is may or may not be yuma, usually when I bring him out he curls into a 2" or so ball. Colors are different greens and the like will try to pull him out again this evening and get a picture.
