Yuma Question

I have 260watt PC's (2-65 watt 12k and 2-65 actinics)
72 bow (48")

Regarding my yumas. From talking to people it seems as though some need shaded and some need direct light. Is the some kind of guide that can inform me on which requires what procedure?

Put it in your tank where you think you'll like it...see how it does. If it seems to not be happy, move it somewhere else....repeat if necessary until you see it My shrooms and rics have moved on their own before if they happened to be on a big rock I wanted to sit in a particular way and they weren't happy with it.

with PC you should be ok. If the color starts to fade then lower it, but that depends on the color of the yuma ricordia!?? My red yuma like more light(mh) the blue/purple/green yumas do not, and will fade if in direct light. Look at the color spectrum as it relates to light penetration and that will give you a good clue. Red/orange up higher blue/purple down lower-those colors reach deeper. Most yumas, unless red, will like low light. You can even get them to color up if they are shaded-but the growth wont be as great. I told you they were a PITA. Sorry about the PM. Good luck! PM me again if you need more help
