Just a suggestion if you run into this.
what is happening is an infection inside the shroom. If left unattended it will eat/spread the infection from the inside out.
Solution is amputation. slice the shroom in half and slice with a razor directly to the left and right, then gouge the infection out in the middle it should be a thick gouge.
Do this out side the tank and rinse in a separate bowl of tank water, then place back in the tank.
After this don't worry about the mouth, it will grow back, as long as the infection has not taken over too bad.
you need to spot it with in day's for this to work, don't let it sit and think it will heal.
