YWG acting strange ...

So first time poster here. Pretty new to reef tanks as well. Have a Bio 29, about two months old. All my levels, water temp, etc have been dead consistent for weeks after the cycle. Anyway I've had my YWG for about a month now. He has acclimated himself very well to the tank, however he has yet to become buddies with my tiger pistol :sad2:. Over the course of the past week I noticed randomly throughout the day he will swim up to the intakes on the backside of the tank & just lay his body over them. When I first saw it I thought the worst, I thought he was circling the drain & couldn't swim so he was being sucked in. However after further investigation that's not the case. He seems to do it on purpose. He swims around the tank fine, is eating like a champ, his color is good & other than the strange surfing against the intake grates his temperament is normal. Has anyone ever seen this before? I don't get it, I've searched the net & asked a few different guys from LFS with no answers. I attached a picture of him doing it earlier today.

They seem to like the feel of suction, I guess.

I've never seen mine do anything like this until yesterday. was siphoning out water for a change and he was sitting right in front of the siphon.

I had a YWG who used to do that. Dunno why, but he was just fine. As long as he swims away from it after a bit, I'd say he's just being a weirdo little thing.
