YWG and tiger pistol shrimp behavior

Just picked up a yellow watchman goby and tiger pistol shrimp
On Saturday from my LFS and Monday they finally found each other and went to town digging. Now what I was wondering is it normal behavior for them to close up their hole over night and then dig it back out in the morning and come out? They have done it the past 3 nights and everything seems fine, just more curious as to if anyone has the same thing happening or not.

Very typical. Mine are constantly digging holes for new entrances and closing entrances.

Yes, completely normal. Mine open and close entrances all the time.
