zap gel malfunction

has anyone else ever experienced their tank cloud up milky white after attaching a frag with gel glue, in my case it was 1 frag & i used zap gel which i had used 50 times before with no adverse reactions, it was so weird i attached frag & placed in tank, went outside for a quick smoke & when i returned you could barely see anything thru the cloud, i was a little freaked needless to say, i quickly put in some carbon & a carbon substitute as well & it cleared up in 6 hours, whew! nothing seemed to have been bothered by it except me, some white residue formed in a few spots on the glass & it made my skimmer stop skimming but all seems well now. i'm interested to know if this had happened to anyone else????

This may sound like a strange question, but do you dose Limewater? I had a similar issue while I was in my tank moving a few frags around and discovered that my ATO resivour of limewater was practically empty after sucked up some undisolved lime which clouded my tank for a short period of time.....it scared me at first, but cleared right up after an hour or so.

Just a thought

As far as your glue...I have never heard of such an issue. I will be following along.

i do not dose limewater & it was defenitely the glue that caused the cloud, i put the frag in a seperate bucket & it was cloudy within minutes

Maybe it was not the glue but the frag itself? I have never run into that issue with that glue. Maybe the coral was reproducing ???
