After I admired Aiptasia under fluorescent illumination, I decided to zap it. All I did was to remove the ND filters on my 120W Metal Halide UV excitation source... Here is what happened to an aiptasia polyp tentacle after exposing it to UV for 0.5 seconds.

Do not try this though to kill off Aiptasia as it will kill most living cells instantaneously.
