ZeeSparrow's 75G LPS tank build

Oh that's too bad... It's from working too many crazy hours. Yes I wanted to go to aquarium solutions today but found out unfortunately that they are not open on Tuesdays.. The bad part about that is I only ever make it to Spokane on Mondays and Tuesdays...

Maybe. My husband's not been feeling well either, though. A positive note on being home sick today... I was able to get a clear picture of one of the frogspawn bubbles. It's my typical blue cellphone pic but the color isn't the point. :p

In addition to that beauty, there are at least two of these... this one here, and another one or two at the base of the skeleton. :bounce3:

Thanks for leaving a comment in my build thread!

Your tank looks awesome. I'll look forward in seeing what will become of your project!

Michael

Looks real good Zee!!! I love your rock scape! Not to much not to little. Great coral growth so far! Keep it up!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Zee.
That is a cool shot of the baby frog... :)

Thanks RE. I thought so too. Still waiting for it to show more. The bubbles are still here too.

Thanks Michael. Me too!

Thanks Isaac. I appreciate the amount of rock I have and cannot imagine much more. Lots of room for fish movement and coral growth.

Any updates Zee? How about a nice full tank pic?

Wow I guess I haven't posted in a while. I have a few more frags now... Galaxea, birdsnest and Idaho grape montipora. Here's a few pictures from when I added with them.

I have a nice abundance of algae going on too. I suspect either bryopsis or turf. Fun times. I'm not worried about either one right now though. I'll clean things up with a water change this weekend and get another FTS then.

Okay... I was going to wait to post any more pictures until I cleaned up. But what's a log without showing the true colors of the tank as it looks day-to-day? :p Besides, I got a new camera. Without further ado, here's a slightly doctored FTS (I edited the back glass so it's not distracting, otherwise this is true to life).

My lawnmower posed for me, too.

Love the full tank shot. VERY cool aquascaping and it will fill in, in no time.

Aren't LM Blennies just the coolest fish? Their behavior and camouflage is really interesting. And I love their eyes always moving around checking things out.

Thanks guys. Those lawnmowers are very cool. Love watching him.

Got a couple more pictures from this weekend.

You already met this guy:

Now meet one of the newest members of the family:

He brought a little friend with him, one that I had not planned on adding. :rolleye1: We'll see if he does well enough for me to get a picture to share... stay tuned!

Cool stuff! What is the last guy? Some kind of urchin? Looks dangerous ;)

What kind of camera did you get? I am thinking of updating my camera for the planned trip to lapland and of course for my newly found hobby!

Michael

Yes that's a blue tuxedo urchin. Not too dangerous... Though I don't want to brush up against him with the back of my hand if I can help it. Lol

I bought a Nikon D3300 DSLR. About time I upgraded from my canon point and shoot circa 1990. ;)

Oh yes. That is an upgrade for real. Still going with the Canon 20D. Actually amazing what kind of pictures one can make with such an old piece of hardware. It all comes down to the glass. A little bit better performance in higher iso would be great that is why I am looking into upgrading.

So now I'm dosing. Alk and calcium are dropping a bit each day. Started with a half dose according to BRS calculator; three days later the levels are where I want them. So I'm going to put in the starting dose of .5ml/gal but only every other day and keep an eye on things.

Tonight I'm adding a couple more SPS. They're currently drip acclimating... as they both have some very cool little hitchhikers that require it. ;)

[emoji3]. As always, looking forward to picks!!

:) Might be able to get some tonight but my schedule is full until Sunday. Saturday is the annual tank tour, BBQ and frag swap for the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Reef Society. :D
