Seriously! Sometimes I don't see him until he moves. And then of course I have to spend at least the next 10 minutes just watching him.

LOL. There are times I think I'm looking right at him from across the room and then he moves somewhere other than where I'm looking and I realize I've been looking at a rock. LOL.
Yeah, once you spot him he's just such a neat fish to keep looking at...his eyes always moving and looking around under those bushy eyebrows. He looks like he could be a Muppet character. He's definitely my favorite fish in my tank.

Your tank looks awesome. Just read the thread, and it's cool to see peoples tanks progress. Sorry to hear about your clowns. Do you know if they were tank raised?
What equipment do you have you quarantine set up with? Last time I only Qt'd fish, but now I will Qt both fish and coral for 30 incident free days. What type of dips do you use on your various corals? Keep your eye out for that suspected aptaisa. If confirmed, remove the rock its on immediately. DON"T try to scrub it off in tank with a toothbrush!!!
Are you still encountering GHA? If so what are your water change schedules? Do you use a filter sock, and if so how often is it changed?

I just learned the other day that the LFS where I got these particular clowns only sells tank raised... so yes, they were. I'm going to try again with two more soon and will discuss with the owner to see if she has any suggestions on what I may do differently this time, other than my already planned longer QT period.
All fish so far have been through TTM with 5 and 10 gallon tanks, with separate equipment for each (heater, new airstone and airline, 2 PVC fittings). The 5 gallon has a built-in hood and light; I built a screen top for the 10 gallon and used a lamp next to the tank for lighting on that. After TTM, I used the 10 gallon with added HOB filter with floss only, thermometer and Seachem ammonia badge. I now have a 29G for QT that I plan to use instead... and am actually considering not doing TTM. Instead, I think I'll put them directly into the 29G for observation. If anything shows up, they'll be treated (in addition to TTM equipment, I have prazipro, furan-2 and paraguard on hand).
I have used 8-10 minute dips in CoralRX for all coral added. The frogspawn and candycane also got doused in some H2O2 (and toothbrush scrubbing) to help remove significant GHA they brought with them. One candycane and the favia coral which had the aiptasia on it were scrubbed OUTSIDE the tank and then redipped this weekend. I don't QT coral because I don't have proper lighting for them on any of my spare tanks. This may change in the future...
Yes, I still have some GHA. Water changes have been really varied; since cycling my log looks like this:
Initially, I was looking to bring nitrates down, so was doing larger WC every 3 or 4 days. Then they were a little more haphazardly scheduled. Now my plan is to do 15-20G changes every two weeks which comes out to 17-23% (estimated 88G system). I do not have a filter sock but I have been stuffing filter floss into the first baffle of my sump for a while now, which I've been changing every few days. (I started doing this because of blowing sand around with my powerheads. As I think I've finally gotten them where I want them and it's settled down, I will probably not continue this practice except "as needed".)
Questions are good. It's given me a chance to review what I've been doing and consider what to continue or change. So thank you!

Ttm is tank transfer method, and if done right either cures or prevents ich. Steve (snorvich) has a great sticky on it on the fish disease forum, I advise you read up on it.

Oh that's too bad... It's from working too many crazy hours. Yes I wanted to go to aquarium solutions today but found out unfortunately that they are not open on Tuesdays.. The bad part about that is I only ever make it to Spokane on Mondays and Tuesdays...
