Zeovit Media / ZEOzym usage

I have been looking into the Korallen-Zucht ZEOvit Media 1000 mL to run in one of my media reactors. My question is can this be run by itself without any other of the Zeo products. I heard this can be done. If so any certain measures that I need to do with it? Any affects? Looking for any advice or if anyone has done this.

The other product I was going to use alone is the ZEOzym....same with this. Can I use this by itself?
Thanks!

In order for zeolite to work properly, it must be frequently shaken to release the bacterial films it creates. Zeolite must also be inoculated frequently with beneficial bacteria (Zeobak by KZ) and fed some sort of organic carbon source (Zeostart by KZ). The stones go stale after 6-8 weeks and have to be replaced. As nutrients drop from the zeolite (which happens quick), you must constantly feed your corals a variety of foods otherwise they will starve and STN.

Also be aware that zeolite reactors should be run at a very flow.

Read this, it will explain everything.

Zeozym can be used by itself and it's awesome. I've used on everything from delicate SPS tanks to FOWLR to help clean out tanks. Just let it mix for a few hours with some saltwater and be aware that it will make the tank super milky for awhile.

I recently dropped the full zeo method. Due to costs and deciding to go BB. You can use stones by themselves provided they stay relatively clean, the flow through stones also determines how much iron (although small) is leached from them hence people with too much flow discovered slight green algae issues. Stones are just an ammonia/nitrite converter, effectively an amped up matrix, siporax, lr rubble. If you use it long term all that iron should have leached and you will have yet another bacterial surface. They work well with specific bacteria (zeobak) and carbon source (zeostart) which is believed to be a sugar/vinegar/nitrate based source. The combination falls into place, although it often needs tweaking depending on the system.
ZZ can be used in any instance.
What exactly is it you wanted to achieve?

Thanks so far for the input...
Here's a brief summary of my system.
240 gal 60"x36"24"
Primarily SPS mixed with LPS etc. Tank has (3) new G3 pros running the lighting. Still in acclamation mode. Growth has been steady but colors were on the weak side. So I have increased my feedings to the tank. Since then I have seen a slight increase in Nitrates 3-4ppm and Phosphates has been around .06ppm. From what I understand this is acceptable levels. When I see other tanks on here and look at what their levels are they are much lower. Simply I would like to see stronger growth and color. I believe I have excess nutrients that are simply not being used. I do 15% water changes weekly. I also run GFO (Phos Ban) and carbon all the time. I have been using Acro-Power which I have seen positive results from that also. Maybe the part of the excess nutrients.
Skimmer runs pretty good (Euro-Reef RS250) mostly wet...light color discharge. So that is what I was thinking of using the ZEOzym to help increase the removal of excess garbage. This will hopefully "clean" up the little cyno I get once in awhile.
As far as the Zeovit media I was told this will also help removal excess nutrients and bacterial. Not sure if this is correct. I don't plan on using the "full" Zeo system. I believe it's working system just not for me and the strict schedule for it. :-)
Any more advice you could share and give would be greatly appreciated! I do have both of these products on hand just not 100% sure how to proceed with them. If anything I'm thinking of just using the ZEOzym.
Thanks!
Joe
