Battling Nuissance Algae - ZeoZym & Coral Snow by mrvicz

ZEOZYM

Take 0,5-1L Aquawater in a cup, take your quantity Zeozym in the cup and mix it, wait 30min and mix again and dose it in the Tank, stop your skimmer for 1 or 2 hours. When you have problems in the Tank then you wait 8 hours after first mix before you use in the tank and you can take a quantity of Zeobak in the mix too, than you have stronger results.

Skimmer should be switched off in both cases, if mixed with Bac or not to keep the "œsubstances" in the water column for a longer time, otherwise it will be skimmed out relative quick.

The mixture should ferment in a lidded container.

If needed both Bac and Snow should be added to the container after the 8-10hrs wait, at about the same time giving the mixture ~ 15 - 30 minutes to soak in.

For coral reefs w/o issues, forego the Bak, & mix ZZ in some tank water, allow to mix for 10 min. to 30 min then dose. Skimmer off is

recommended.

POHLS CORAL SNOW (PCS)

You can use 0.5 to max. 4 ml Coral Snow per 25 gallons daily.

When used to eliminate cyanobacteria, add 1 drop of ZEObac per 25 gallons of tank water to the Coral Snow. Dose every two days until cyanobacteria is gone.

It is not necessary to turn the skimmer down or off during dosing

chercm, there is no additive to just fix Issues.

you should post some pics, your dosing of zeovit additives weekly, and everything else, so we can help you with how to eliminate Issues.

I understand but would like to know what is correct way or at least the most effective way in getting rid of cyano

really? its that simple? zeobac and coralsnow? hmm...
i have read more post about gettin rid of cyano and this is hte first time i heard of doisin thae above to rid of it?
if so im intrested..
i belive in religous water changes to rid of cyano.

honestly, there are maybe millions of ways. the one that works, is correct regime. not just dosing something now and solving problems for ever.

so most effective way of getting rid of cyano and other algae is dosing correctly.

now about what you first posted.

think of it this way :
coral snow bonds with organics. which cyano also takes up, when the organics are bonded to CS, Cyano can no longer pick that up.

ZZ ... it breaks down proteins and long chained aminos, to simpler form, which organisms can take up easier.

what do I do ? I mix ZZ with tank water at night, stir and let it sit till morning. in morning add bak, stir, and dose the display tank.
then on the next day, i dose CS before lights go on [most cyano is dead at this point] to take up the organics.

i am dosing this , is it over dosing ?

morning

PCS+ 5 drops of bak

night

ZZ+5 drops of bak and skimmer off for 2 hours after dosing
