ZEOvit

Just a thought...

Could the positive results of Zeo be attributed to the increased attention the tank gets. When running Zeo you have to dose and monitor parameters, so maybe the increased husbandry plays a large part in the positive outcomes?

I know when I pay attention to my non-Zeo tank more, I get better colour..

No doubt about it - people like wayne shange get superb results with careful diligent husbandary and no declaired additives.

IME though -there is no substitute for personal experience after you'r satisfied with the theory and I'm pleased with the non Zeo basic 4 zeo additives I use. before after shots are really helpful too:)

Here are a couple before and after. Been on Zeo for 18 months, these were taken after beginning the use of K+ and Coral Vitalizer.

In all fairness, the A. Desalwi (last 2 pics) was taken under 2 different light sources. The first pic was under 20k radium on HQI and the 2nd under 12k Reeflux on HQI. Regardless, you can't argue with the growth that has occured in less than 30 days.

I have seen many tanks Zeo and not Zeo. Shawn Bennett, Roland (Old Yella Tang) had very nice colors and they did not use Zeo. I have also seen my fair share that didn't and these were nothing compared to their tanks. I have also seen Zeo tanks that looked as it were not on Zeo too. Zeo is not for everyone. Just like Ozone, UV, Turf Scrubbers, Non-Skimmer Tanks and Plenums are not either. Pick your poison and do it good :) I have always said, "That it is not the method one uses, but how one uses the method"

I know this is off-topic, sorry.

Does anyone have any info on what Shawn Bennett's reefing practices were? Please pm me if you like.

Thanks.

Simon, I dose 1 ml K+ per 100 gallons and 3 drops per 25 gallons of the CV.
The K+ dosage is much lower than the recommended dose rate, but I am using SeaChem salt and it has a higher level of K in the mix.
