Haven't updated in awhile so I dusted off the camera yesterday. Let's just start things off with an updated FTS:

Things are continuing to settle in. Growth and colors have been solid and the fish are sorting out the pecking order. I've experimented with upping the AcroPower dosing, but brought it back down after seeing a little more green-cyano type slime on the sand bed. We have lost a few fish in QT along the way--most recently a male lineatus wrasse that was gorgeous--but I'm trying to remind myself that that's part of this hobby. I'm just about done adding tangs (last one I'm looking for is a nice juvi dussumier) but I reserve my right to add another if it strikes my eye.
I usually use a flash for my fish pictures, however, I decided to try something different during last night's photo session. Hope you enjoy a few of these new fish pictures:
I don't think convicts get enough credit; I think they're stunning tangs and they're hard working fish!

Our juvi desjardini tang is starting to get cool markings around its face (they grow up so fast!):

I don't think I've shared a picture of this fish in a long time. It's an Elegant Coris Wrasse (Coris venusta). Not nearly as colorful as others I've seen but it's such an active hunter and a very peaceful fish in my tank (unless you're a pod):

This is the newest addition: a Whitetail Bristletooth tang, which we picked up in San Diego. It was super shy in QT but it's very active and hangs right in the mix with the other fish now that it's in the display. I always said, "I'd never pay that much for a whitetail kole tang." But the price was right and, in person, the fish was much more breath-taking than I could imagine, so we bagged it up. It's a great addition and the contrast is really something else.

I love this fish: a Blonde Naso tang that we've had for a few months now. Was active and personable in QT and hasn't changed now that it is in the display. Hoping to watch it mature over the years to come:
